How to take care of Hair

Your hair is your crown. It can be up and down, long and short, wavy and straight, frizzy and unmanageable or smooth and shiny. Hair comes in many different lengths, styles, colors, and textures. Your hair quality not only shows that how you treat your hairs but also a reflection of your scalp health, which is often ignored and sidelined by us. We are just taking care of our body skin; not giving attention to the scalp skin. Hair grows from beneath the skin. The living parts of hair like hair follicle, hair root, root sheath, and sebaceous gland are beneath the skin. Scalp skin is just like any other skin on the body. We should keep healthy to ensure a healthy body and healthy hair production.

The average person has 5 million hairs on his body and almost 100,000 to 150,000 on his head. Hair grows all over your body except on your lips, palms, and the soles of your feet. Due to the increase in everyday stress and pollution, hair fall problems have also increased. Unhealthy food is also one of the major causes of hair fall. Hair keeps our body warm. Women are much concern about their hairs as it can boost the beauty of a woman. They suffer a lot of distress when something goes wrong with their hair.

Here are some common problems of hair fall:

Hair coloring/dying: Hair coloring also the main reason for hair problems. There are risks associated with using hair-dying products. Hair dye chemicals have been shown to have a variety of harmful effects. Use of hair dye has been linked to allergic reactions, respiratory disorders, and even cancer or anaphylactic shock.

Dandruff: This is the most common problem for all. Poor diet, stomach infection and even to a slow rate of metabolism are the main reason for dandruff. Today’s stressful life, work pressure, and tension can also be a reason for dandruff.

Split ends: Hair split also the most common problem. This problem is mostly suffered by women who have thick and coarse hair strands. A split end occurs when the tip of the hair becomes dry and brittle and begins to split. Over combing, over brushing, giving the hair a perm frequently, improper usage of heated hair appliances, the constant coloring of hair are the main reason.

Frizzy hair: Frizzy hair is mainly caused due to lack of moisture in the hair. The air pollution, dust, and dirt make your hair frizzy even if you have washed your hair the very same day. Sometimes, brushing hair repeatedly can also lead the frizzy hairs.

Every day almost 100-150 hairs fall which is normal but if these numbers increases than you should start to take care of your head hairs.

Here are some tips for hair care:

For oily hair: Try washing your hair every day with quality shampoos that are made only for oily hair. And stop using hair products that have oil in them, like pomades.

For dry hair: Use the entire egg to condition your hair. Use egg whites to moisturize your hair. Use ½ cup of any egg mixture (egg white, entire egg) and apply to clean damp hair. Leave it for 20 minutes and rinse with cool water.

For bouncy hair: Apply a one to one mixture of warm water and apple cider vinegar to your hair. Rinse it thoroughly after 5 minutes to get rid of the apple cider smell.

For soft hair: Prepare a mixture of 1 cup of your daily conditioner and 2-3 tablespoons of honey. Apply this mixture evenly on your wet hair. Leave it for 30 minutes and wash it off thoroughly. This mixture will close down your hair’s cuticle and give your hair that amazing shine.

For Dandruff: If you see white flakes in your hair and your scalp is itching, you most likely have dandruff. The reasons for dandruff can vary from fungal infection to poor lifestyle to unclean hair. Try to clean your scalp skin with anti-dandruff shampoo. If it doesn’t help, consult your doctor.

Protect from Sun, wind, and dust: Always protect your hair from sun, wind, and rain. Exposure to excessive sun heat, dirt and pollution can harm your hair.

Avoid hot water: Avoid hot water while washing your hair because hot water will make your hair dry and brittle as it strips protective oils from your hair. Prefer a temperature which is just a bit warmer than your body temperature.

Do not brush wet hair: Wet hair is weaker and breaks easily. When wet, the shaft and roots of your hair are more prone to sustaining damage. So do not brush so harsh.

Use warm oil on the scalp: Using warm natural oil in your hair can help for scalp health, hair health, texture, and stimulate general wellness too but do not do over it.

Take a healthy diet: Eat a healthy diet of raw fruits & vegetables and drink lots of water can help in the growth of hair. The healthier you are, the better your hair looks. Certain nutrients like vitamin, iron, and proteins are essential for your hair growth and health.

By doing these things, we can save our hair otherwise, we will carry our life with baldness.
